What kind of people does the Foundation recruit for the District Institutes?

At Azim Premji Foundation District Institutes, we are looking for teacher educators, who will work with us to improve the quality of teaching and learning process within government schools. Our work spans school subjects like Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences and Languages (English/Hindi/Kannada/Tamil). A potential recruit will be interested in all aspects of primary school education and teacher capacity building including:

  • Improving the quality of educational processes and practices within schools across a district
  • Facilitating creative approaches to teaching and learning through workshops, teacher forums, seminars, melas etc in their chosen subject
  • Building networks of like-minded teachers and head teachers who are working in the same subject area
  • Residing at teacher towns and blocks where government school teachers reside and hence use the advantage of proximity

Our recruiter will get in touch with you within a month’s time and will discuss the next steps, if we find your resume suitable. Please check you e-mails regularly so that you do not miss out on the opportunity. If we do not find your resume suitable for any open position/opportunity in Foundation, you will receive a regret mail.

What should I expect from the selection process?

For different positions we follow different selection processes. For some positions for e.g., Teacher Educator, you will have to go through a test, followed by multiple rounds of interview. We expect a certain degree of patience from you side right through the selection process. Our selection process is long as we believe that only good people will do justice to our commitment to constitutional values and our vision to improve quality of education. Please read the role description carefully to understand what is expected out of you in terms of responsibilities, skills and attributes for you to carry out the role.
